Chief Polly Ubah of Supertots Education Center was appointed amongst others who undertook policy analysis and recommendations on a host of state issues and initiatives which informed New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy’s new administration’s legislative and regulatory agenda when they took office.  The transition counsel, led by Nadia Bandukda of the Muslim Lawyers Association provided legal guidance to the committees.  Together, they took a fresh look at the basic organization of government and put Governor Murphy’s administration on a solid footing to begin delivering results for the people of New Jersey.

There was a total of 14 Transition2018 committees which were comprised of numerous policy experts and outside leaders.  Each committee had a legal counsel to support their efforts. Chief Ubah served as committee member in the Education, Access, and Opportunity Committee, with Donna Chiera, American Federation of Teachers, who served as Co-Chairman.  Other Nigerians who also served in the transition committee include: Chief Charles Eke of Infotech Systems; Dr. Iwuozo Obilor, Physician; and Francis Owoh of Safety Environmental Inc.

Community Service


Chief Polly Ubah was previously conferred the Chieftaincy title “Ugo Eji Eje Mba 1 of Ishi Ubomiri” community in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo state, Nigeria for humanitarian and charitable contributions to the people of Ubomiri, while his wife Lolo Prisca Ubah received the honor “Ugo Di-ya of Ishi Ubomiri” by the King of Ubomiri His Royal Highness, Eze Emma St. George Ekeh, Ubom1 of Ishi Ubomiri.  Lolo Prisca is the Executive Director at Supertots Educational Center, Inc.
Ubah is a New Jersey based Realtor and Investor with Coldwell Banker. He is also the Finance Director for Supertots II Education Center Inc., an early childhood development center in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Hon. Polly Ubah, who is the immediate past two-term Chairman of Peoples Club Nigeria International, Princeton Branch, New Jersey USA, was the founding Chairman of PDP, New Jersey branch and immediate past National Deputy Chairman of the PDP USA Chapter.  Ubah is a community leader and philanthropist who believes in education as a stepping stone for poverty alleviation.  Chief Ubah is also a patron of Abia Imo State Association in America.

To all of the transition committees, Governor Murphy said, “I am grateful to everyone who accepted the call to serve our transition.”
